Governors

All schools in England have a Governing Body which is responsible for overseeing many of the strategic decisions of the school. A key role is to act as a ‘critical friend’: to support, to challenge, to ask questions, and ultimately, to represent the school community.

Local Governing Bodies (LGBs)

Each of the KMAT schools has its own Local Governing Body which will serve as a committee of the Trust Board. They monitor outcomes and the experiences of children at their schools, they are involved in the school's strategic direction and review policies. Focus will be paid to the 4 S's: SEND, Safeguarding, Standards and Stakeholder engagement.
