After School & Holiday Clubs
Learning doesn’t stop at the end of the school day!
Our after school enrichment clubs give children the opportunity to move, create, compete and grow in confidence, all while having fun with friends in a safe and familiar environment. Each term we offer a variety of clubs led by our teaching staff, along with additional sessions run by external registered providers. This ensures a wide range of exciting opportunities for children to extend and enrich their school experience.

Ashcombe Enrichment Clubs
We are pleased to be able to offer the children of Ashcombe Primary enrichment clubs such as Choir, Arts & Crafts, Construction club and many more. These clubs are ran by teaching staff of the school and they can change each term. We try to offer clubs to suit all children. Spaces in these clubs are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.

đ Line Dancing ClubWho: Years 4, 5 & 6 Our Line Dancing Club is a fun and energetic place where children can learn new dance moves, build confidence, and enjoy moving to music together! Each week, we explore simple, catchy routines that help improve coordination, rhythm, and teamwork. No experience is needed—just a smile and a willingness to have a great time! đ¨ Mindfulness ColouringWho: Years 2 & 3 Our Mindfulness Colouring Club is a peaceful and relaxing space where children can unwind, get creative, and enjoy some quiet time at the end of the school day. Each session offers a variety of calming colouring sheets, from patterns to nature scenes, helping children develop focus, patience, and a sense of wellbeing. As they colour, pupils learn simple mindfulness skills—such as paying attention to their breathing and the colours they choose—that support emotional regulation and reduce stress. It’s a gentle, enjoyable club where everyone can take a break, express themselves, and leave feeling refreshed. Led by Mrs Hayward |

The School Choir is a welcoming and creative community for students who love to sing and express themselves through music. Whether you’re an experienced vocalist or trying choir for the first time, our club offers a supportive space to develop your musical talents, build confidence, and connect with others who share your passion. Members learn a range of vocal techniques, explore harmonies, and rehearse a diverse selection of songs—from contemporary favorites to timeless classics. We perform at school events, concerts, and community celebrations throughout the year, giving students the opportunity to shine on stage and experience the joy of performing as part of a team. Joining the Choir Club is a great way to grow as a musician, make new friends, and contribute to the school’s vibrant arts community. All voices are welcome! Led by Mrs Langston |

After School Sports Clubs
Currently we are working alongside Future Stars Coaching and Gym Clubs, who are providing a fantastic range of afterâschool Sports and Gymnastics sessions for our children. These clubs are run by experienced, fully DBSâchecked staff who are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all pupils.
The coaches bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm, offering structured activities that help children build confidence, develop new skills, and stay active in a fun and motivating setting. Through a blend of games, drills, and skillâbased challenges, pupils are encouraged to try their best, work as a team, and enjoy being active after school.
We are delighted to offer these highâquality sessions and continue strengthening our partnership to provide enriching opportunities for all children.

Children can look forward to exciting dodgeball games and team challenges, plenty of movement and smiles, and a welcoming space where all abilities feel confident to join in. The sessions help develop coordination, resilience and positive teamwork skills - while having loads of fun!
â˝Football club is a high-energy club focused on football skill development, teamwork, and match play. Children enjoy dribbling, passing, shooting, and tactical challenges in a fun and supportive environment that encourages confidence and fair play.

Gym Clubs
The team from Gym clubs offer an energetic and inclusive gymnastics programme designed for students who love to move, tumble, balance, and build new skills in a fun and supportive environment. Open to all abilities—from complete beginners to experienced gymnasts—this club helps children develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence.
Each session includes a mix of warmâups, skill stations, guided practice, and small group activities. Students will explore fundamental gymnastics skills such as rolls, jumps, balances, handstands, cartwheels, and simple routines. Safety is always our top priority, and all activities are taught by trained staff using ageâappropriate equipment.
The club encourages teamwork, perseverance, and a positive attitude as children work towards mastering new moves and celebrating each other’s progress. It’s a great way to stay active, make friends, and have fun after school!
Gymnastics club is available for children in years 1-6, spaces are limited and fill up very fast, early booking is essential.

Holiday Clubs

Future Stars Coaching also run Holiday Clubs at Ashcombe Primary School.
Their holiday clubs are packed full of energy, creativity and fun! From action-packed sports and team games to exciting challenges and hands-on crafts, every day is designed to keep children active, engaged and smiling. Their team has dedicated countless hours to creating the ultimate holiday club experience – making full use of the amazing facilities.The coaches love holiday clubs, they’re the highlight of the term! It’s their chance to take off their proverbial ties, get stuck in, and share unforgettable moments with the children. With endless sports equipment, craft boxes brimming with creative ideas, and fantastic outside agencies supporting with enrichment, every day is designed to be full of fun, variety, and energy.

Details:
Future Stars Coaching are able to accept children who have started school (they must be in Reception to attend their clubs), until the summer at the end of Year 6. Unfortunately, if your child has not started school, they are unable to attend our clubs. Please may we also ask that your child is toilet trained.
Each day you can drop your children off with a packed lunch (nut-free please) & appropriate sports kit. Then pick them back up at the end of the day - safe in the knowledge that your children are with DBS checked, professional & qualified coaches that are first aid trained and fully insured.
There are prizes and certificates awarded on each day!
Behaviour Expectations: Children must follow behaviour expectations at all times. Children who do not adhere to these expectations will be unable to attend.
Late Pick Up Charge: If you are late picking your child up, outside of your booked ticket time, you will incur a £5 charge for the first 15 minutes and then £10 for every quarter of an hour after that.
Childcare vouchers & Tax Free childcare accounts can be used to help fund these bookings.
