We are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable individual to join our large team of Lunchtime Supervisors. You will need to be organised, caring, and flexible, enjoy working with children and others as part of a great team.

School lunchtimes are 20% of a child’s week so the post offers the chance to help children really make the most of their day.

Duties will include supervising children eating their lunch and on the playground, modelling and encouraging positive interaction between them and leading play. Lunchtime Supervisors play a key role in supporting children to enjoy positive playtime and in learning how to build new relationships

We have recently started using OPAL Play to enhance our lunchtime play. OPAL Play is fundamental for children to learn to self-regulate through practise, trust and freedom. We have just started our OPAL Play journey and our lunchtime supervisors are fundamental to the successful implementation of this fantastic scheme. OPAL play knows how important a happy, challenging and play based lunchtime makes for a successful day at school. By joining our Play Team you will be helping our school family build their communication skills, teamwork and build their imagination. An OPAL Play lunchtime supervisor supports the children play safely with different equipment in all of our play zones. Your role will be like a play worker to help nurture creative games and activities with a range of loose parts and resources. We will be allowing all of the children to mix year groups in the different zones operating over the whole school grounds. The lunchtime supervisors will then monitor their zone playing with the children, monitoring safety and equipment, administering first aid if required and extending the play.

Our children love this school and the successful candidates will join a thriving and exciting school community where relationships, school identity and team spirit are strong. We really look out for each other.

Full training and support will be given to the successful applicant.

Hours of work will be either 11.45 – 1.00 or 12.00-1.15pm Mondays to Fridays – term time only. Rate of pay is £11.59ph

(pay rise pending)
